LOL the prices are dropping on these 840's while people are beating the bush trying to find the 830 left overs.
Maybe the faster 840 Pros will drop in price to what the 830s were going for.

The write speed on the 840 was what caught my attention: 830: 320 MB/s 840: 130 MB/s I have an 830 128GB, its limited by sata II but under Linux: [rar@silenus tmp]$ dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync 16384+0 records in 16384+0 records out 1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 4.84718 s, 222 MB/s
