The 830 is dead, get over it. Let's hope Samsung gets their act together for the 850 or whatever.
830 is an excellent drive. 840 is a POS, and 840 Pro is an overpriced 830 with slightly more modern specs (21nm vs 27nm process, updated firmware, etc. - NOT WORTH the price). 830 already max out SATA 3, so NO improvements will make ANY difference in actual performance.
830 is also great for FDE, symmetrical R/W speeds, fast performance, and no compression BS controller are needed for FDE. 840 fails horribly on this... 135 MB/s write speed? Lol.
