Buy this if you must, but unlock it quickly and plan to move to another GSM provider the moment you use up your airtime.
...if it can be easily unlocked like the older models.
Take No. 2's advice and make sure the phone can, indeed, be unlocked; this "deal" is worthless unless you can do that easily and either free or very cheaply.
#2 & #3, this phone can still be EASILY unlocked. Instructions are all over the web for how to do it. I picked one up 2 weeks ago as a spare. Ben's review on this phone is spot on. IMO, it's a great deal if it meets your needs. For most folks, it will.
