Add this $100 to your cookie jar and save up for a PS3.

I believe the latest versions also streams youtube.

#1, can you cite examples? Most reviews I see are positive.

In theory, I agree with #2, but try finding one in stock...

I have been looking at DVD players that will stream NetFlix and this model has a LOT of complaints from users. Good price...but not good enough!

Most complaints I've seen are from previous firmware versions. I've used mine for 4 months and not found a BluRay it wouldn't play and Netflix is decent on it.

Google it man. Im not going to do the research all over again for you. just read ama zon's review. 2.5 stars. You call that favorable?? The player has a lot of trouble playing newer movies.

#9 I HAVE GOOGLED IT. I own the player, do you? Almost all bad reviews of this player are before current firmware. I rent BluRays from Netflix and have played almost all current "newer movies" with 1 single BluRay disc error (due to crazy scratched disc).

It seems to be some folks job to blast this player when a deal for it is out and I would be willing to bet that none of these people have and use this player. I use it a few times a week and it is a nice player for the money.

I have the same player. It plays netflix in HD and I have had no issues with mine.

I dont have the player, but a friend does. He has had 2 or 3 movies not play, even after a firmware update. Its ridiculous that a firmware update is needed to play movies when those same titles played in his PS3 out of the box.

I have a samsung TV, Stove, Washer and Dryer. I love samsung products and would love nothing more to have a blu-ray player by samsung. It just seems according to the reviews they are missing the mark in this one area.

Got mine a couple months ago from TD as a refurb, too. No complaints. I love it.

Every BluRay I have purchased has a note in it telling me to make sure my player has the latest firmware or the disc won't play. The problem isn't with this player, it is with the BluRay "standard" that is continuously moving.
