Tempting, but check the reviews. Seems to be problem-plagued. Wonder if the $80 refurbed Sony is better. Probably should just keep my standard-def Oppo for now....
Reviews are from prior firmware. I've used mine for 4 months and it has played every BluRay I've thrown at it with no problems. Just bought a second from woot today.
the sony refurb also doesn't support netflix, you tube, etc.
Try watching Angels and Demons. It will freeze at the mid-point on this blu ray player. Even with the most recent firmware. Stay away from this unit.
It's a good thing I have no desire to watch Angels and Demons.
Its other movies too. I was just giving an example for all the snobby 1590 owners out there that think there is nothing wrong with this player.
Get a real player: Oppo
Angels and Demons deserved to be stopped halfway through...
The Bluray of Angels and Demons isn't one big m2ts file like most. Maybe that's it.
