Good deal. $400 on Amazon. Wish I waited to buy this one. Instead I'm stuck in inkjet world.

I'm very interested after reading the reviews on Amazon. Wireless would be nice, but I can do without. Hmmm.....

I had an older Samsung laser printer. The pages wouldn't pull correctly so all the prints were skewed. I wonder if the quality is better on these newer models.

Agree, this rebate blows chunks. Who wants a $100 prepaid Visa gift card if you can't apply it to the purchase of the printer!

Staples should go the way of Circuit City.

I just got this a few days ago and I'm using it with several Macs. I chose it because (1) I didn't want another inkjet. I've had Epsons and HPs just die on me and (2) I liked the small footprint. I live in a studio and don't have much room. This thing is smaller than my last HP inkjet.

So far, I've been pretty happy. It's faster than any inkjet I've ever owned and it's quiet. The color prints aren't as good as some of the inkjets out there, but I never print any photos so it's fine for me. I just need color to spruce up documents. If you are looking to print lots of photos, this is not the printer for you.

Frankly, unless you have a severe budget AND space limitation, you're far better off getting a normal CCFL lit scanner and typical color laser printer. Consider that you won't want to pay fo refills for the printer so you'd just stuck with a sub-par scanner after a year has gone by, while a decent printer and scanner last for at least 5.

All-in-ones are a serious concession to make, the only real benefit is the space taken, and if they have a one-click button to make copies without the computer as the inbetween... though many scanner software today makes the computera minimal part of that, it just has to be on and a couple mouse clicks later you're done.

It is a good deal, don't get me wrong there, to have these features for the price paid, but IMO most people will find this limiting and within months of use, will wish they had more features and/or lower refill costs for the printer portion.

Of course this will NOT print photos as good as an inkjet, the colors do not mix like they do with inkjets. one should never expect lasers to print photos as good as inkjets. in my opinion that's the only thing inkjets are good for other than portability. with the bizarre exception of the gift card rebate, this is a mighty good deal, has a great footprint and a document feeder. i doubt most people at home would need anything more -- the masses are asses anyhow and they probably wouldn't know they needed something more. in short, this would be great for $200 outright, but the gift card seems like an amazingly stupid curve ball.
