Get the WD Green 1.5TB for $95 shipped at MWave, no hassle rebate to deal with. This Samsung HHD is good too, quiet than WD which have a noticeable cliking noise while accessing the drive. Talking about reliable I don't know yet since I have them (4 with NAS setup) only 6 months.

#1 WDC "Advanced Format" drives have a number of performance issues that are especially true of the "EARS" versions since they not only have 4k sectors, but lie to the operating system. This means that even operating systems that are designed for 4k sectors ( like w7 or linux ) can't take full advantage of the information.

Hope they get their act together since the WD's are otherwise good for power.
