I looked at the 52A650 and it was simply outstanding. Better than the Sony Bravia. I wound up buying myself the 52A850 for Christmas and I'm very pleased.

Here is a review of the 52A750...

Excellent 1080p LCD TV. And to think only 6 months ago they were around $2500 prior to the release of 850/950. You barely notice any glare with the bright and sharp picture from ambient room lighting.

Number one rated flat-panel TV in Consumer Reports. And I would have bought it if it wasn't for the glare (which I witnessed in the store). Amazing TV otherwise.

#5 There are plenty of Sony Bravia's out there. How can you make that claim without specifying a model?

The LCD people have everyone brainwashed. Plasma is the way to go. No motion blur, better color reproduction and lighting, and generally cheaper. Drawbacks are slightly more power consumption and image retention (different from burn-in, which is almost a dead issue).

I have it and love it. I have it in a well lit room with sky lights and there is very little if any glare. If you get an LCD with with even less glare, then you're getting an LCD that doesn't look as good as this LCD. No Glare = not as rich and vibrant. Do some research people, before you open your mouth about something you do now know.

I would not buy a television based on how it looks in a store. Chances are, the store has certain tv's tuned better tan other tv's to get you to buy the ones they want.
