amazon reviews indicate constant paper jam problems.

If you have the Kahonas, you can pricematch this to staples who has a $70 rebate making $20. Its against their pricematch policy so YMMA but it has worked.

It does jam every now and then, most often with envelopes or thick stock. Regular 20lb copy machine paper seldom jams. Forget about printing on anything thicker than 24lb if you don't want to re-feed and waste a few pages in trying.

I wouldn't say it lasts a long time, pretty flimsy printer. Built no better than anything else, but does work well enough at a good price. The greyscale dithering is a bit poor, anything resembling photo-realistic output has banding, but for logos, charts and text it's hard to beat $50 w/o a rebate, except if they put $10 worth of addt'l toner in it and charged $10 more so the starter cartridge wasn't used up prematurely.

From the web page "Instant Savings Offer Valid 2/8 - 2/14".

It is not an expired deal. Bought one yesterday. Seems like a pretty solid little laser for the price (for home use).

Toner for these should be about $35 to $45 for a remanufactured cartridge, $60 to $75 for new OEM cart. Refilling it yourself would be about $9 per on ebay if you buy more than one refill at a time. You might be able to refill one 2 or 3 times, even more if you don't care what the output looks like as it'll degrade when the drum gets too worn. You might not be able to refill a remanufactured cart even one time, depending on how much use it saw before you got it and whether the drum was bad enough they replaced it or not.

Initial toner cost is higher than with inkjets but cost per page lower, much lower if you refill them a few times till the worn drum forces you to buy a replacement cart.
