Just ordered the 180 gig from newegg they had on here yesterday. Building a gaming rig with an AMD 975 Black edition. I hope I didnt go wrong. Everything totals about $450 with a Geforce 550 vid card. My MB seems to be ready for the faster cpu's now so I can upgrade without swapping everything out. Anyone using the AMD processors? I have always went with Intel but figured I would give them a shot....
From what I've read/heard, these drives are great, this deal is tempting even though I already have a 90 GB Vertex 3.
I built my own computer about 3.5 years ago with an AMD 635 (Quad Core 2.9 GHz/core) and it's been running solid since. I've upgraded just about everything in it but the CPU. I've never experienced any problems with the CPU or lack of power, overall no complaints, plus I got it cheap in a bundle deal with an Asus mobo from Newegg. Only slight complaint was that it ran a little hot with the stock CPU heatskink, so I just replaced with a 212+.
This drive is killing it in all the reviews out there, and I love mine with zero problems. I had a couple blue screens early on that never happened again. Be aware if you use HD Sentinel it will show the health of the drive as 99% brand new. This is normal and not to cause concern. I also use AMD only on my systems. I skipped the Bulldozer fiasco/failure myself. You won't regret the 975, that's for sure.

#1, Samsung doesn't make a 180gb 830..
I think Intel makes an 180GB SSD. Samsung and Intel get best reviews on reliability.
^ think he meant the OCZ Agility 3 deal
#1 you won't have any problems with that chip. I have done about 3 with that exact chip alone and they are all running fine.
