    I just returned one. The drive worked fine with a motherboard USB port, but could not work on anything else. I think it needs to much power, due to it keep powering up then down when connected to certain ports and other devices.

    So basically if you plan to use the device as a file server or backup device with a laptop/pc you should be fine, right
