Thanks #2. I was really hoping to pay $5 MORE. It's $158 at SuperMediaStore too.

I'd pay $5 more for a company I've dealt with and never had a problem with. goharddrive.com has had a least a few negative comments here at Ben's.

#4, what sort of negative comment? The only one I came across are "who the heck are they?". The egg has a bad rep for packing their hard drives for shipping - all hearsay, since I never bought hard drives from them.

#1, link, please. Talk is cheap.

Nice, was waiting for this come down a wee bit, paid this much for the 750 a few months back, no problem yet with the drive, so by ThanksGiving/black friday a cool 99.00 deal?

No, their packing is not bad. I bought an OEM from them which was packaged in a film-like bag and further sandwiched between two air bags. It worked fine. Anyway, wait for black friday.

Think I will wait for a $100 deal or so, last hard drive I bought for my comp was a 500gb, and it was $150.

#6 - I told you it is hearsay. Perhaps you should look for a deal on a good dictionary.

It's not hearsay anymore: I bought a 1TB Hitachi from them a few months ago, and it was packaged just like #12 said. Out of character for Newegg, for sure, but it was crap.
