Had to RMA my samsung Spinpoint 32MB HDD 3 times in 3 months. My third one should come in tonight.
#2 32MB is ancient
I put a Samsung F1 320GB hard drive in a computer I build about 8 months ago, no problems as of yet.
I only build systems with SSDs... because the value proposition is sooo much in favor of SSDs.
Bought one in March 2009 and RMA it last week.
#2, stop dropping them.
I've a 750GB and a 1TB F1. Both performing flawlessly.
