Errr #4 the link you provided only shows the results for the Samsung Spinpoint F1 RAID and DT, not this model. I believe this is a more accurate chart.

This Samsung Spinpoint is actually quite fast, and for $80 it's a steal.

32 MB Cache, 7200 RPM, puts that 1 TB Hitachi to shame at essentially the same price without a rebate.

#9: What website did you take that opinion from?

(We all know you're a burp plagiarist so don't burp deny it's a quote from someone else.)

you should get more than one people. These drives are prone to failure. Mine died after 8 months. The Head Assembly broke which is very common from what I hear. I had 2 drives die on me in my lifetime. One was a deathstar and the other was this. Data repair guys want $1200 to get the data off my harddrive.

#17 - ever since we hit 500gb, I never have run anything but at least a raid 5. With drives this cheap anymore, there is no reason not to have redundancy. In all the setups I've had in the last 5 years - I've lost a couple 400's, a 750, and two 1.5tb's - but never lost data. And the price I paid for my data back? Only about $100 for one extra drive. Way cheaper than $1200...
