Whoa, I didn't realize Samsung got into the hard drive game.
odd this is there part numbers are the same as Seagate.
read the Newegg reviews, Samsung is not honoring guarantees
^ huh? I had no problem getting an RMA replacement from Samsung last time. Biggest mistake people make is wording it as though the drive "might" be bad or there "might" be a question about it. Tell them plainly it is dead and you need it replaced.
Then again, if some lot of serial numbers were displaced somehow, I could see how that might create a different problem, in which case Newegg should make good on it - save your product page detailing the warranty, receipt, etc.
