Just get the 1.5TB Seagate from Amazon for $120, don't pay tax or shipping, and get a 5yr warranty on a bigger better drive.
Yea or you can get a 1 tb drive from newegg for 65 and amazon does have 1.5 drives for 100
Yeah, considering your data is really important I wouldn't just buy the cheapest thing out there, but ok.
cheap does not mean crappy quality. Love or hate, seagate is a named brand and backed by a warranty more than 90 days.
I think what you guys are bickering about, the more important part is: there are equivalent drives for less $$
FYI, Seagates offer only a 3 year warranty now. The Only drives that hit the 5-year mark are the WD Caviar Blacks.
