This one appears to at least look like a Samsung F3 I remember, and wouldn't seem to be a re-badged Seagate.

I am in for one at this straight out price.
It's a little confusing as to whether this is a Samsung or a rebadged Seagate product, and there is a fair amount of back and forth about it out there through various web searches. Consensus appears to be that they are in fact Samsung drives, though the labels apparently indicate that they are made by Seagate and they do have a Seagate model number ST1000DM005 as well as the good old HD103SJ. Some initial failure reports, but likely as much to Newegg's legendary shipping practices on OEM's as much or more than it being a "bad" rebadged Seagate product. I'm going for one or two but will get them deployed ASAP to find out for sure.
