I just fired up my replacement Samsung, hope it lasts longer than the 1 month the 1st one did. Replaced under warranty which is good but the cost to send the old one back made the total cost not so good. But all hard drives fail, right?
Ewiz changed it. When I put the drive in my cart and applied the code it was $15 off.

Nice, quiet, cool, storage drive at a great price. Bought 22 from newegg a few months ago and using all of them on a single RAID6 using the 24 lane version of AMCC/3ware 9650se. No bad drives yet but they've only been power cycled once since I got them installed. I suspect the batch of good drives was partially due to newegg re-shipping them in the original slotted styrofoam packaging from the manuracturer, keeping them nice and safe in transit.
