Tax/Shipping kills the deal for me. Goes for 80 FS from newegg very often. Egg >> MicroCenter also imo.
Agreed, #1.
Microcenter is often fairly competitive with Newegg - certainly worth cross-shopping if you have one in the area. Newegg doesn't have the additiaonal expense of B&M stores, so it's a bit of an 'apples and oranges' comparison. Often worth spending a bit more at Microcenter if you can't wait for shipping or want to see what you're getting/comparison shop.
Another GREAT DEAL from Bogus Bargains...
How is Egg better than MC? MC is a retail store where you can easily return something that is DOA w/o paying return shipping or a "restocking" fee. When MC has a good deal and tax is passable don't see how Egg >> MC. I guess if you are only shopping online w/ MC then your argument would make sense. My last 2 build are thanks to great bundle deals @ MC with much better prices than Egg. I like Egg too, but it's not >>
#5 - glad to hear your experiences at mc have been good, but that hasn't been the case for many. Also, I didn't have an argument, simply an opinion, hence the 'imo'. I know it's not an end-all comparison, but to get an idea why people would say egg >> mc:

It's not like the sample size is small, either.
