price on this TV. Cheapest I've seen it in B&M stores has been $2100.
Amazon is dumping these before the C6500 and C7000 series hit the warehouse, but if you don't care about 240Hz or 3D, then this unit is a steal at that price.

You should check out the AVS forum, there are absolutely enormous threads with all kinds of detail
As far as I know there is not much difference between 650 and an LED backlit LCD except the power consumption and thickness.
Whats a HDTV?
#5/6, I just bought a Samsung Plasma. Haven't had any IR problems. Read the owners manual, temporary IR is common with new sets. Also double check to make sure that the wobble/anti IR feature is turned on.
This is a huge steal. I bought the 6000 for $2000 just yesterday.
What is IR?
"IR" is short for Image Retention.
