Today only. Best Buy has the Sandisk 32GB Ultra SDHC UHS-I Class 10 Card (SDSDU-032G-A11) for $20 with free shipping. Features up to 30MB/s transfer speeds, and is water-, temperature-, X-ray- and shock-proof.
Guys, it's spec'd as a Class 10 card which means it is guaranteed to write a continuous stream at equal to or better than 10MB/s.
Reviews on Newegg indicate it averages about 12MB/s on sequential writes, but down around 5.5MB/s on random writes.
As for the upper sequential read limit that has a bit to do with the host device, a lot of USB controllers start to bottleneck over USB2 (combined with flash reading latency) at around 28MB to 34MB/s... some even lower than that.
Granted, few reviewers mentioned whether their reader or device was connected via USB2 or something else, it wouldn't surprise me if it can manage over 35MB/s sequential read in a USB3 reader, but I doubt it would write much if any faster.
This item shows up as $69.99 when you put it in the checkout cart. Oh well, $20 is a good deal.....$69.99 not so much.
Shows up in cart at $20 for me right now.
Thanks for letting me know that. I'll try again from a different computer.
Thanks, I just ordered two. It showed up properly from my home computer.
