Still waiting on the last 'stock up' rebate, it has been 'processing' for 2 months.
Has anyone gotten their Visa rebate back yet?
is the rebate reliable?
I won't risk $60.
I really hate rebates! if they are going to give you the discount, just give it to us. Don't make us wait 6-8 weeks for something that might never come anyway. I always feel ripped off.
BruserMan~
You seem to not be business savvy. One point of a rebate is to reduce the amount of money flowing back to the consumer. Consumer buys, forgets rebate.
Second stage is automatic rejection of rebates.
Hardship on the consumer reduces total money back.
Continue to feel ripped off, until you receive your rebate.
i'm in for 3. these are good for the photography side of my brain -- if i can ever find the ding dang slot...
I know of someone who just got his visa from the prior rebate. Call the rebate number and ask when your check's coming.
I don't think a company can use rebates to scam customers out of their money from a business standpoint.
By offering rebates, the company makes sure that they receive a healthy cash flow for their books. The $60 here will be booked as a revenue for this month and 8 weeks later, the same $60 (or whatever rebate amount) will be booked as an expense. This shows the company has a good cash flow in their books from an investor's stand point.
The fact that rebates get lost(!) and customer forgets to postmark it on the right time hence invalidating the rebate is pure gravy.
I got my $110 visa card back in about 6 weeks
This is too good deal to pass up for my DSLR...the speed on this looks way better then the 3MB/s I'm getting with my current card.
this isnt a rebate. you donbaconback. you get a visa prepaid card which is good enough for me. i'll use it for gas.
I like sandisk cards..I have a few of the 1gb in these series, fast and reliable and supposed to withstand harsher conditions then others.
Wish I could afford to front $60 and wait for it..
also if the company bankruptcy.
yes, rebate company is in bankruptcy. You might not see your $60 rebate!
sandisk rebate is pretty good. i got their $110 visa card last time with no problem. in for 3 again.
This is Young America rebate company, not Continental Promotions Group (the one that "misplaced" ten million dollars). And even if the rebate company goes out, it's the manufacturer that is liable to you. (of course, in this republican economy they can file for bankruptcy too...)
Hey, I got free shipping just now, I bought two sets (3 SD cards, 3 CF cards) and went through creditcard checkout, and there was a free shipping option. Just a note!
I hope these SanDisk Extreme III SDHC cards are more reliable than prior SanDisk cards.
#17: I thought the rebate terms limit you to 3 claims per household. So, getting past $100 to get "free" shipping is going to end up costing you $60.
This appears to be a great deal, but I hate rebates. Question... It looks like these are regular SD cards not SDHC. Is this fair to assume?
