Received visa prepaid card from purchase made at Adorama.com back near thanksgiving...very easy, no complaints. Ended up paying something like 0.48 for 3 4GB Extreme III cards.

If you're concerned about Abe's of Maine then check out one of the other 70 retailers listed on the rebate form.

agree with #2. Any company you deal with that makes you call them to "confirm" your order after you already placed it are scumbags. They will raid your item and sell you back your own battery, charger and accessories. I'm not sure about low value items but you can be assured they do this with high $$$ items.

I bought 3 of these 4GB SanDisk Extreme SDHC cards from RitzCamera on their Black Friday deal. Still waiting for my SanDisk rebate Visa debit card. I checked my rebate status online and it says it is still in the "processing" step, but it also lists "Error(s): Offer valid only at participating photo dealers".
Hopefully they aren't going to try rejecting it because I used Google Checkout at Ritz Camera. damn I hate rebates.

I agree with #13 rebates are bull, but I needed a SD card so here it was.

I never had a problem with the SanDisk rebates.

Still waiting on my Visa card rebate for the SanDisk CF cards, going past two months now. I ordered those from Adorama.

bought these during previous promotion: 3 4gb cards from buydig and beach free after rebate. another promo afterwards had 3 8G for like $5 after rebate so I say be patients guys. prices are falling for these commodity items and stores are flooded with them.

Check out the history of my posts on BB over the past 5 or 6 years, and then decide for yourself if I'm "one of those spammers mentioned in post #1".
I won't argue with the reports that some people have had problems with Abe's of Maine; maybe they treat their customers buying professional equipment differently than others, or maybe some people just had problems and others didn't. I guess I'm fortunate that none of my friends and colleagues have had problems with them.

YMMV, so make your own decisions. I'm just providing yet another data point.

FYI, the story about calling the rebate processor is 100% true - call them yourself and confirm if you don't believe me.
