Actually #1, Abes of Main is a very reputable retailer.

Some people feel they are and some do not, this is apparently a gift card or store credit - not sure which

The rebate offer can actually be used at a bunch of other retailers as well (check out the list in the rebate form), so if you don't trust Abes of Maine, then you've got other choices.

#1 -you are correct, Abes of Maine is Abes of Brooklyn and Abes of Up sell.

There are lots of other retailers on the rebate list, use them.

I took FULL advantage of the offer earlier (a total of 9 cards free from 2 retailers including shipping) I sent rebates 1.5 weeks ago and awaiting my Visa gift cards.

Although in concept it's the same difference, there's just something stinky about Visa ecards instead of sending just a good ol'd check.

Abe's of Pain pulled a stunt a week or two with these same cards. Bad math, wouldn't trust them.

It's a sandisk rebate not an Abes rebate...Now if you wanna bitch my rebated been approved for a month now from the last go around and Its still now been mailed.

got 3 of the extreme III compact flash cards for $20 total after rebate on BF. Still waiting on rebate.

Bought 3 of the SDHC 8 Gb cards earlier this year when they where $21 after rebate. Great fast cards, rebate took a while but eventually came.

As for what do you need 3 of these cards for?

I went on a 2 week vacation soon after buying them. We filled 2 8GB cards and had started on the 3rd. It wasn't the 762 pictures we took (that was less than 3 GB). It was the almost 2 hours of video that used up 12.5 GB

bought 3 sdhc cards last round. these are great cards if u are into photography. They function in temps from -13f to 185f. And, (my cards) are 133x - 20mbs. Plenty fast enough for a photo hobby. i think that this is a good deal even with a visa card rebate. And, i personally have never experienced problems with Abe's of Maine.

Do these cards come with a usb adapter?

Bought 2 CF cards with this same deal before BF, I think late October. Just got my prepaid Visa last week. Not fast, but it came. Very happy with the cards.

All the previous times this deal was posted the actual price was higher then listed. This time the price is correct but they are out of stock.

My SanDisk rebate got rejected probably because I used the Google Checkout option at RitzCamera... I hate this rebate.
