This has been at $15 for a while. I bet there will be even better deals on Black Friday.

There comes a point of diminishing returns when these units get too small. Too easy to lose track of units smaller than this. That said, cost of this unit a bit high compared to current deal on the 8G.

SanDisk makes good, reliable, fairly quick USB drives. This is a good drive at a good price if you need one.

I've had no problems with my 8GB version of this. Although lose the U3 software... useless and tries to install on your HD.

Agree on the cost being too high to be a great 'deal'. If you only need 4GB, and you're already here, go for it.

It would be a better deal if they would get rid of the U3 software I don't want.

are you guys sure you're talking about the micro when you say it's too bulky? I have the 8GB version and i consider it pretty tiny. I think any smaller and I would lose track of it. I like the design of this (very simple) and have had no problems with it. But yeah I feel the 8GB is more worth it at this point.

i've never been a fan of these- they retract into themselves unnecessarily. seems like they should just make them shorter. also, $15 seems expensive by what you can normally get these days

You can remove the U3 software easily. Scandisk offers a tool on their website that does that.

    1) U3 software sucks, and removing it is not always easy (ie: if you use Nero it will fail).
    2) the cheap plastic case chips up
    3) keychain connector is weak and tiny.
    4) unnecessarily big

    Good things:
    1) retractable
    2) fits tight ports
    3) no cap to lose

$15 is high for this now. I'm holding out for the 16GB microSDs with usb adapters to hit my sweet spot.

I've purchased 3 of them and no failures so far. I really don't care about the retractability of the flash drive. It' s more of a problem than a good feature.

I agree on the retractability being more of a problem than a feature. I've had mine retract when plugging them in lots of times.

I only use the U3 for the security and in that regard it seems to work fine and gives me a better feeling about the security. It's easier to use than TrueCrypt. As to reliability, mine has taken three rides in the Maytag with no ill effects which I find remarkable. I think the guy that says it's too bulky was being sarcastic--this drive is tiny.

Great drive! And no lousy cap to lose. Retractable design works perfectly.
