Well built casing. USB port locks into place quite well, only thing that i wonder about is how long the little plastic locking mechanism is last before it decides to stop locking, and your stuck with a Slider-port. Good luck getting that into a port. ehm.

$11 for 4GB isn't that good of a deal though. 8GB are really starting to Drop and you can get 16GB for less than $40 if you look hard enough.

Even though that may be a good deal (8 and 16GB) for a large format drive... average users don't need it and would be better off spending less than $10 for a 1-4GB drive.

There's a fine line between getting a fantastic deal... and wasting money on something you don't need (neglecting the point of the bargain in the first place).

have it, works well, built well.... had it for about a yr and use daily without problems. the glowing orange light is a little annoying at times if it's in your field of view

had it for about 18 months now. works fine.

#1, even if the lock did break (doesn't seem like it will), there is still a raised portion on the slide that you would put your thumb on and that would keep it from sliding.

Actually the software isn't that silly. It's easy to set up and does encrypt the drive's contents. More advanced users may prefer something like Truecrypt but the U3 software works great if you're not an advanced user like most of the crowd here.

#1 the little plastic locking mechanism wil last forever. Highly unlikely to break. I have a 2gb bought it two years ago, Still working nice. Nice thing about SandDisk, They are the only Company that have the Best Unique Locking Mechanism..

#6 The Orange Light give you indication that this thing running and working correctly.. Or you prefer NO indication at all??

This is about the right price, BF ads sell 8gb for 19.99 and the 4gb for 9.99
