Good deal. Fast and retractable. I got the 4GB version for the same price 6 months ago.

From what I understand, the Vista ready boost feature only supports 4GB.

From what I understand, a U3 platform update will allow you to use the smaller, earlier versions of the Micro (such as 1GB and 4GB) on Vista.

The 4GB version has always worked, and eddot is right about the usable limit.

Vista will only utilize 4GB of the Flash Memory so you can use the other 4 GB for Storage.

like you'd want to wait for 8GB of data from a flash drive during everyday OS use.

The best thing for readyboost is to buy a 1 or 2GB high end drive that is as fast as possible instead of trying for most capacity per $, IF you really believe it matters since the prefetching does a fine job of filecaching if only you have enough main system memory. All you'd really gain with an otherwise misconfigured system is a little faster boot if you insist on a full off instead of hybernate state, which also makes little sense given how long it takes Vista to do all it's background crap after a cold boot.
