8GBs is a lot of space. I have the 4GB version of this flash drive. I think its great. But I think the price is too high. $10 a GB. Not worth it.
Cruzer Micro is one of the top flash drives out there and it now supports ReadyBoost for Vista. Too bad the 2GB version I bought doesn't.
law of diminishing returns. i agree, too expensive even for 8gb
I would rather spend some extra money and get an external hard drive. It is a bigger, but it has more space.
these are already $55 if you look around
The Cruzers have always been compatible with Vista, it's only the U3 software on them that had a problem.
Why are the old versions incompatible with vista? That doesn't make sense.
ReadyBoost is a scam.
now this is the one item i'll be looking for on BF, but hopefully not at this price though.
Too expensive... unless you need 8GB in one place, no?
it's very expensive...could get a better deal
I have the 2gb version of this thing, it works great..especially if you get rid of that annoying U3 software. Its real easy to remove as well, just search google as there is a program that permanently removes U3.
Readyboost is working for me. I have 5 to 10% gain in performance.
I have a couple of the Cruzers. Mine are smaller, but they are replacing floppies for me. I never got into using CDs as a replacement, but these do work. They're also catching on at work.
Definitely rip that U3 crap off of there. It only gets in the way and I'm pretty sure it only works with Windows.
Not the fastest thumb drives...
I have one of these in 4GB version and it's one of the best flash drives I've seen. I removed the U3 and put PortableApps which is WAY better. These drives aren't the fastest but the sliding USB jack and solid quality is worth it.
Exactly. U3 is crap. These are great little USB stick though.
price is still too high, i'll wait for it to drop a bit. 8gb is nice though
too expensive for an 8gb flash drive
I own a smaller version of this stick and it works quite well, especially with Vista's Ready Boost. Its expensive in the grand scheme of flash drives, but most of the cheaper ones aren't nearly as fast as this one.
