These are quaint devices, but hold out for the "e" series...much better!

I grabbed one off buy.com a few months ago. The headphone jacked started to malfunction, and I lost sound in my left headphones. Problems started to occur after about 2 hours of use. Looked it up online and did it myself w/ tin foil. Works great now. No USB connection. Have to use their own connecting cord. Cheap and great for the gym.

Some of their refurbs aren't actually refurbs, they are manufacturer overruns, stamped with a mark on the back so they won't be sold as new/retail, then whiteboxed.

#6 Try holding the back arrow tab as you press and hold the on switch. You should be able to boot it up while it's connected to the charger.

You could try taking the back off and letting it dry out thoroughly, reassemble and see if it works.
