woot !
why are most of these SanDisk mp3 products refurbished? i hardly ever see good deals on new SanDisk products.
anyone else realize that?
#2, nope. I've seen plenty of deals on websites for the new Sansa Clip+. The original Clip has been superseded, perhaps that's why you're seeing a lot of deals on the refurbs?
Got this new for $15 dollars a while back. Nice little player.
Does the Clip support browsing by files/folders?
Everything I read says it doesn't.
I think the Fuze and Clip+ do.
I hate ID3 tags! I want to search for my music by files/ folders the way they are filed in the windows music directory.
-Just my opinion.
1 gb isn't too many songs, you'll have to update it about once a weeek to prevent going nuts listening to the same songs. But at the price of a large lunch, you won't feel too bad if you break or lose it.
Besides all that it's a great MP3 player. I just got the 8gb from woot recently for less than $40 IIRC. Sounds great, and the controls are fine. Totally destroys the iPod shuffle on price and having a screen.
Great gym unit. You'd have to deliberately smash this against a brick wall to break it. It's so light that a simple unassisted drop is unlikely to damage it. The 8GB is nice and can be had for less than $40 as stated above. The new clip+ can be expanded with microSD. Sandisk does a much better job than Apple on the hardware itself.
Get a Fuze. Newegg 8GB Refurb for $44 free shipping.
This ismaller than fuze. I have both and this is the one I take to the gym because it doesn't even require an arm band. I clip it to my shirt collar and it's fine. It's fine for weights and cardio. If you do all that jumpy crap the little girls like then maybe an arm band is still needed.
Not very sweatproof, you might want a case for it if it's your gym companion. If you clip it to your shirt be sure to inspect the clip on the back every now and then, eventually they all develop a crack and break though Sandisk will send you a new clip for it.
Does the Clip+ use the same brittle, translucent plastic rear clip?
I would take this any day over an ipod. Plays fm radio and no extra software needed.
