I think this is one of the best flashed mp3 players on the market. Creative's flash based stuff is all USB 1.1 speeds (yes, though it's listed @ USB 2.0 speeds) no stupid color screen burning up battery life, and the best audio sound out there:

      same price @ amazon

I have this and I like it a lot. There are just a few irritating things: my clip is already starting to break, and I've had it maybe two months. It seems to be splitting down the middle starting from where it joins the spring to pivot. Next, the firmware is a bit strange. For a while, some genius decided that the left < and > right buttons couldn't be used to move back and forward between different podcasts. Even with the latest versions you CANNOT add a podcast to a playlist unless you change the genre. Oh - and there's no folder browse view. Everything is done off the id3 tags. OTOH - it has support for Ogg, which is great.

The only problem I have with my Sansa Clip is the clip. The first time I used the Clip's clip the Clip's clip broke.

#2/#4...the sansaclip owner's forum has dozens of "broken clip" stories, which all seem to end with the owner calling customer support and getting a free backup clip mailed. Next one is not free, though.

Mine's holding up at the 2-month point alright. The only two thoughts I have are: (1) it's hard to pay $60 when buy.com occasionally drops the price to $50, and (2) apparently an 8GB Clip is coming soon. Makes 4GB look downright puny!

I like the looks of these over the Ipod models. Seems like a good deal as well.

I bought one of these for my In-laws and it works just fine. I think they look pretty sleek too with the "hidden" screen.

These are nice but ought to cost less by now, with 8GB USB thumbdrives selling for $14 there's no excuse for a 1GB model to cost $30 something and a 4GB, $60.

Why waste your money on this when Ben has just pointed out that you could get a refurbished View for $60 shipped. Don't scorn on the recycled item, it comes factory sealed with the latest firmware and it thanks you for doing your part in not polluting the environment

View is nicer, but also significantly bigger. The charm of the clip is it's about the tiniest thing out there that still has above average sound (ignoring the earbuds, doing like comparison with same 'buds, different players) plus FM and recording.

We got a bunch of these for $34 on Black Friday at Best Buy. Gave them for Christmas gifts. Still rockin' hard. Ours were only 1GB versions though. Nice cheap little iPod alternative.

I have this, it is a piece of baconnaise - the battery dies VERY quickly, and if you let it sit for a while it will be dead by the time you pick it up. I stopped using it and hard workerto sansa m240 with AAA battery.
