Oh, yeah.. it was like $1 more on woot. I'm sure they're all broken up about it.

BTW, great for the gym. Won't break easy like a Nano and the price is right.

I have the 4 GB, and it's very small.

I am waiting for the refurbished version of the clip+ to show up. Actually a Fuze with the SD slot, should work pretty well before that happens.

I'm an old coot with poor reading vision. I wonder if I can see this well enough. In particular I need to see where I am, time wise, on a track. Note I listen to audiobooks so a "track" can be 85 minutes long.
I went to Best Buy last night to see if they had a demo but no luck.

I have a few older sansas and I can barely see the time readout. Since this screen is smaller, ?????

Anybody know if, while playing back, does it show a progress bar with numeric readout near by? Like 26:13 on the left and 47:18 on the right. If so, what size is the "font"? Same size as the "title" fonts or smaller?

Also, my older sansas sometimes play audiobooks out of sequence. Various message boards report similar problems but I haven't the time to track down if the problem has been solved yet. Any idea?

      Thanks In Advance
      Pete

Pete, you need to just go to Amazon and get the new Clip + (not a refurb) 8 gig. I've seen it there for anywhere between $54 and $62. The Clip + is a HUGE improvement over the Clip, and I use it exactly as you do -- for audiobooks. Yes, there is a progress bar with hours, minutes and seconds, and you can scroll back and ahead. You'll probably need your reading glasses; it's a pretty small font.
I recommend you go to the Sandisk web site, and sign up for their Clip + forum; you'll get lots of good info there. The manual is also on-line; it just comes with a small start-up manual.

meanoldbaldteacher , thanks. I have an old sansa m240. I can just barely read the numbers on the progress bar.

I compared one of the clip pics on the Amazon site to the size of the key in the pic to the size of the display on my m240 and they could be the same. e the LCD screem is the same. I'll take mine to Best Buy and do a one-to-one comparison.

      This could work.
