This is a good deal on this. And if you need more storage you can add a micro SD (or if rockboxed SDHC) card.

Still loving my e260 that I got 6 months ago for $200 less than an Ipod!

I had bad luck with a refurb. It is a great player, when working... That stops me from pulling the trigger.

I'd get this except the one I got two years ago is still going strong. Good deal!

My Sansa e270 just died after two months of light use. The screen would not light up under all circumstances - boot from Rockbox or the original firmware or the recovery mode. I got it a Transcend 16GB Class 6 microSDHC for the memory expansion.

Awesome deal. I picked this one up as well. My friend has had one of these for a while now. He's been pretty tough on it, dropping it, sitting on it and what not and it's still going strong.

I got the 6 gig version a month ago, and it's a great player. This is the best price yet.

Sandisk is good at replacing stuff under warranty, get an RMA and you're golden.

If you need an additional sync and charging cable, go to http://www.thepocketsolution.com/PSI-32459/SanDisk+Sansa+e200+Sync+and+Charge+Cable.html. $0.89 each, it is generic but good quality. Add $2 flat fee for USPS shipping.

If you want a silicon skin, $4.50 and free shipping using GCO. Good quality skin and screen protective film, so-so arm band, junk belt clip and lanyard. Six colors to choose from. http://www.nextwebsales.com/StoreFrontProfiles/DeluxeSFItemDetail.aspx?sfid=141934&c=818877&i=233161357

#12 my e crashed too. Pressing power button nothing would happen. I even reflashed rockbox and the original firmware, nothing happened. If it lights up when connected to the computer via usb, then there is still hope. I emailed customer support and they gave me a set of instructions and now it works flawlessly again.

#14 - Could you please post the instructions if it's not too long? I have already shipped the player to Xtreme Upgrade. If the problems could be easily repaired, I hope that I would get the same player back without being replaced.

I used a high capacity microSDHC for the memory expansion and noticed a problem. There were noises heard through the earphones at the beginning of the first track to be played. It seemed that the player was spinning and searching the microSDHC for the music, which could sometimes take quite a long time though the Database had already been updated. There was not any such noise when I used a 2GB microSD for the expansion. I don't know if this is a common problem or unique to my player.

Refurbished is sometimes even better than a new unit. I had personally been against the IPod until recently. I always thought that cheaper players from Creative, Sandisk, IRiver produce the same high quality music. I only own a Creative Muvo, but I have to give the grand prize to the IPod touch and IPhone for best music players. The interface has not been rivaled.

Tried Rockbox and can't seem to view pictures. Is there a plug-in I need to install? Love the Rockbox interface though.

The Sansa e2xx line of MP3 players are really nice MP3 players if you don't want an Ipod.
