      mine still works ))) rockbox navigation makes it easiest to navigate of all the players i've had. otherwise nothing special about it.

      Is this still a good deal being that it's a "recertified" player? I'm looking for a cheap player. Can this one be Rockbox-ed?

      Try for the 8 GB.

      Last I checked, you can rockbox it if it is not one of the newer versions...so if it is recert, it could be the older one. From the rockbox manual:

      Supported hardware versions. The e200 and e200R Series is available in multiple ver-sions, not all of which run Rockbox. Rockbox doesn't run on the newer v2 models. They can be identifed by checking the Sandisk rmware version number under Settings ! Info. The v1 rmware is named 01.xx.xx, while the v2 rmware begins with 03.

      mine broke down after 3 month, lied my way to get a replacement which broke down too, no warranty on this crap, stay away, just buy something that will work for more than two month

      #11, refer to #9 about whether it can be rockboxed -- it depends on the firmware version.
