I have the 4GB version of this unit. It has been working fine. But those buttons around the wheel is hard to push. Everything else works fine.

hockalo0gie, def get this. I bought the 4GB version and do NOT regret it. dbayev, this does take some time to start up, but that's not a problem. I usually turn it on, start the car, buckle up and then it's on and ready. I had a Nano before and they are nice, but the Sansa has a ton more features and cost a lot less.

It is nice, it definitely isn't an instant startup, but it's not too long. The buttons are a bit stubborn, and the center button should be seated better (it feels loose). But it's a good product.
One annoying aspect is the lack of mac support. Not even basic USB mount, which is pretty damn annoying. It supports Windows as drag and drop or media player syncing (one or the other, but not both at the same time).

Folks, I have had nothing but trouble with the earbuds - Sony, Maxell and the original iPod ones. Plus - I'd wait until the black Friday for the prices to fall even more. How about 120 for this?

Sandisk has a good reputation for mp3 players but I tried this one out and found it to be very clunky and unweildy. Go for an iriver or an ipod instead.

I bought the 2gb e250 for my long term roomate (wife) she likes it but she ran out of storage pretty fast. Solution Has expandable micro sd slot. Bought her 512mb micro sd for 14.00 but she filled that up in about a day. I suggest getting a 6gb sansan and a large micro sd card but they are pretty pricey. Would i do like about the sansa is you can drag and drop files like it was a flash drive. No synching with itunes but the disadvantage is the buttons are like for weenie man hands. I also have an IPOD G5 30 gb and nothing beats the click wheel but this player is good for the price.

When deciding on an mp3 player for my wife it was either this or an iPod. I wanted for her to get this since it doesn't require iTunes (or drivers) to use. She didn't like the buttons around the center wheel though and we ended up getting an iPod instead. When researching this player, I read mainly good reviews.

#6, why the comment about the iRiver? I have one for 2 years now and still like it. I even replaced the center stick because it stopped responding.
