Good deal for a great player! Fully featured. Add a cheap mini SD card and boost this up to 8 or 10gb. !

Must Rockbox it to accept more than a 2GB card. I got the 8GB model of this player, and love it. I have not bothered to RB it yet since 8-10GB is plenty for me for now.
And to the nay-sayers than think you cannot RB if it is V2, that is not true. This should be V1 but it is only a little more complicated to RB V2 so no worries either way.

#2, respectfully, unless there's been some late-breaking or experimental development that the general public doesn't know about, you are wrong about being able to Rockbox v2 e200 series players. It's definitively stated on the Rockbox home page that you cannot use v2 players: http://www.rockbox.org/

Perhaps you are thinking of the e200R series players that support Rhapsody. These are definitely "Rockbox"-able, as I have one myself.

One more fun thing about rockboxing them is that you get a gameboy emulator, which is a fun blast from the past.

i like the lamp app, calculator, chess. used lamp when power went out recently. had to get a silicone case for it, too slippery and scratch prone. still can't get audio/video sync without dropping frames in rockbox, good mp3 recording, intuitive interface, needs a touchpad instead of the wheel, like iriver H10/20.

Thank you #3 I had not read that info. Maybe they were referring to the Rhapsody models, and did not specify it.

#6 these are mostly brand new overstock. Mine was in mint condition. They put individual letter decals on the back saying "Refurbished", but those come off, if they bother you.

#8 it's a free software that replace the manufactures version for running the music player. Rockbox supports many mp3 players and runs very well on this player. Just google to find out more.

Screen scratches easily, get a protector. Hard to press the buttons around the perimeter of the wheel if you have big fingers. But what's not to like about $42? Get it.
