You have to convert the Mp4 file to play it on this device?

So let's see if I got this right...I have to convert the media to Mp4, then convert the media again so I can watch it on this device...MMM sounds kind of stupid to me...How long does it take to reconvert the media that I've already converted?

These are great. Expansion sd card and FM radio are a plus. The battery charge last long and the screen is not bad for the size. Wait for the 8gb to be onsale since I seen it for about this price before.

The 8GB e280 is on Newegg for $85 w/free shipping (not refurbished either):

I like this as an audio player. As a video player, not so much. I just can't watch video on a tiny screen like this.
With Rockbox installed you don't have to do as much conversion with video and it supports more audio codecs (and cross-fading).

      Good find #7.

Just got my 4GB e260 from NewEgg today. Looks good. Sounds ok. But good God, the buttons are tiny. I've got fairly small fingers so I figured I wouldn't have the same issues as most people out there. No dice. I guess it'll have to do for now. How well does NewEgg deal with buyer's remorse?

#9, in short Newegg's return policy is a 15% restocking fee plus your cost to return ship the item:

      http://www.newegg.com/HelpInfo/FAQDetail.aspx?Module=6

When and why are restocking fees applied? How much is deducted when a return is subject to a restocking fee?

There is a restocking fee of 15% on all returns for refund (RMA Refund), unless waived by a Customer Support Agent. We charge this 15% restocking fee for all returns for refund to encourage customers to purchase products they intend to keep. We offer RMA Replacement without any restocking fee to support customers who have received a defective product. For CPU and Memory refunds, any restocking fee we use will be a reflection on current market value for the same cpu item. Newegg.com does not support attempts to profit from CPU and Memory price fluctuations.

Does Newegg.com pay the return shipping cost for defective merchandise?

No, Newegg.com does not pay the return shipping cost for defective merchandise. We are not responsible for product defects, because we do not manufacture the products ... [Truncated]

Thanks, #10. I guess I'll have to figure out some way to make do. I've heard that the "Kroo" cases for the player actually cover the buttons and make them easier to press in the process. It'll be equivalent to the 15% restocking fee + shipping, anyway. Fingers crossed.

The silicone skins do make the buttons stand out more at the cost of making the wheel a tad more clumsy to use. Check Amazon for accessories. I was able to get a silicone skin, screen protector, arm band, car charger, and wall charger for about $20.

#12, the small button size is unbearable, IMO. Is the resulting clumsiness from the case just as bad?

Yeah, I got a skin, protector and arm band(I think) for about $11 shipped. I still have a wall charger and microsd card from the sansa c2xx I used to have before it crapped out. Amazon and Ebay are great for accessories.
