2GB is pretty small, these days, but this would be okay as a stocking stuffer, I suppose.

From what I've been reading the Fuze is bad news when it comes t quality control and reliability. Sandisk screwed this model up in the manufacturing. Stay away.

#1, at $30 a pop, I hope the stockings you're stuffing are tiny.

Add a Micro SDHC card. It's a waste of money to buy the 4GB / 8GB versions.

due to the length of todays songs, you would only be able to fit about 10 songs on this thing

I have a refurb and I'm very happy with it. I did a lot of research on it before buying and I'm not sure where #2 found any reading about those claims. the fuze is great and you can get an 8GB microSD card for $20 and make this a 10GB mp3 player for $50 total, which is exactly what I did.

#1, if youre spending $30 on stocking stuffers please feel free to fill mine... and I can't imagine what the real presents are!

I agree with #6. My refurbished model had some issues with freezing, but was quickly remedied with a firmware update.

I got one of these for $35 recently. Great value. Like #6 did I added an inexpensive 8 GB card and it works great. These refurbs are also hardware v1 which had a pretty stable version of Rockbox available (USB support isn't complete but it reboots into the original firmware if you plug into uSB).
Great deal IMO, especially when compared to iPods (which are too expensive).
