i have one of these, not refurbished though, and it is awesome. excellent alternative to the ipod if you don't want to give apple your firstborn, just the drag-drop feature of adding songs alone makes it worth getting.

This is probably the best player out now if you're just interested in music. I have read that video can be a pain to get converted whereas ipod has lot's great free tools. If you're lucky, you'll get a V1 sansa that can be rockbox'ed. Rockbox is a far superior firmware to any that is included on a player.

    I don't think there is a v1 fuse.

I have 6 refurb Sansa players and all are great. Only had one problem with a bad battery, and no hardware failures at all.
These some much better then a ipod, and don't feed the evil Apple machine.

Nice player, nice button layout compared to the Sansa E series that required a fingernail. I own two & both are working great.

I've got a v1 from woot and it's a great little player. The first one I got from woot was doa though, so buyer beware when looking at refurbs. One rma later and I have a perfectly functional, solid little mp3 player.

I agree it's nice. I also have a v1 Fuze refurb running Rockbox and I really like it.

oh #2 i wasn't saying refurb is no good, i just thought the fact that mine ISN'T refurb was relevant when giving an opinion based on my experience with the player.
