Bought one from them for Christmas. Works great, no complaints with it or eCost. No user manual so maybe a small complaint but it was easy to find and download.

Resellerratings.com shows Ecost with one of the worst ratings possible. Listen to the hundreds of people who've already tried them and have been burned. Otherwise, the price is too good to be true.

Ecost hosed me over once by not sending a USB drive that I ordered. The deal was paired with a rebate which I missed out on because of their mistake.

Getting a hold of someone to rectify the issue was impossible.

I have/will never buy from them again.

#2 remember it's a refurb. I've got one and love it ($75, Overstock) but historically $83 ain't so sweet.

Should be even cheaper now that flash prices split in half again.

eCost kinda sucks. I remember when they were OOS on one item in my order, they didn't tell me and just shipped the rest leaving out a passive USB hub that was a tiny piece of junk to begin with but I added it to the order only because it was FAR.

A couple weeks later they ship the hub, billing me a 2nd shipping charge for that which was more than I'd have paid for the hub at regular price.

There seems to be a consensus here. Stay away from eCost.. regardless of product
