Should I go with the Dan-Elec or the SanDisk view?
It will be used while jogging and for the kid to watch videos on car trips. Thanks
Fine, don't answer. I picked up the SanDisk. I also picked up the one gig clip for jogging. Peace out.
Piss off, mate. You ask at 4am in the frigging Monday morning and expect someone to jump and cater your special snowflake whim? Screw you, and screw your overblown sense of entitlement. I'll bet you're a fracking joy of a parent to your kids when you smack them around for not answering right this bloody minute.
#1/2 - you should have gone with Apple. Now you'll lose the respect of your peers and family.
#3, Well good morning sunshine. Thanks for making my morning. I was hoping to piss off someone who uses the term "mate". Now if I could find someone who uses the term crikey I will have reached all of my goals for the day. FYI this site is on a thing called the internet. It's not 4am everywhere. Have a wonderful day mate.
I'd suggest leaving 6-8 hours before expecting a response in a forum. Some take days. I'd also temper my expectations...you'd get advice here, but you still have to make your own decision. As I like to say, you *are* the parent in this relationship.
Anyway, your question is a no-brainer as I see it. First, the View already has double the capacity...and second, the expansion microSD slot. Remember the slot takes SDHC, which means you could get it to 24 or 30GB easily.
Second, although the View is a refurb, using a sample of 1, my 16GB refurb (overstock.com) has given me zero problems.
Finally, however, keep in mind that a lot of View owners are very unhappy people...firmware updates stopped long ago (check out the Sansa forum), and the units are buggy at best (mine does many of the typical things, like repeat title names in the list, and hang for 10 seconds at a time).
Thanks for the information Matthew
For the rest of you, yes I understand it take time to get a response. Do you really think I was upset no one responded quickly or do you think your an rodeo cowboy and could not tell I was burp kidding. As you can tell this is not my first post. Tards.
I feel sorry for you when you show your kid this Sansa product. He'll wonder why his family is too poor to affort an iPod 120 GB MP3 player. I'm sure he'll never look you in the eye again, #7.
I do feel ashamed. Thanks for poring salt into my wounds milf_huter. At least I have Obama to pay my bills.
Nice
Hey milf, You know, some of us don't want to drop a ton of money on an Ipod.
For one thing, MP3 players can have a short lifespan. It gets dropped, it gets lost, or the headphone plug goes out. Whatever reason. I for one, like the SanDisk players because they are Windows Media Player compatiable. I can use all my mp3 files and my Windows Media playlist directly from my computer on the any Sandisk player.
You all are wrong. I just hookup my record player to a battery backup, fit it into a large backpack, and I'm jogging in style. I'm hitting it "Old School." Yo.
Folks who are secure buy the MP3 player that has the features they want and don't concern themselves with what others think. My Rockboxed Sansa is great... FM radio, voice recorder, huge memory, replaceable battery, many other cool features. It's my choice and it's excellent.
The kids aren't embarrassed at all... it was my daughter who turned me on to Sansas in the first place.
Be your own person, #4/#8.
I like my Sansa for the gym because of the FM transmitter, but I prefer my 2nd Gen Nano paired with Sennheiser MM 50's for overall sound quality and sleekness.
