Newegg has the Sans Digital TowerRAID+ TR4M+BNC 4 Bay eSATA Port Multiplier JBOD Tower + Mediasonic ProBox HP1-SS3 PCI-Express 2.0 x1 SATA III (6.0Gb/s) Controller Card for $100 - $30 rebate [Exp 3/22] = $70 with free shipping. Features 4 3.5" drive bays, and a 150W power supply.
Typos aside, you don't want one of these. They're fine copying data from one drive or another, but the performance tanks hard as soon as you try to use two drives at once, let alone four.
#2 is right - performance drops when multiple drives are accessed simultaneously. That said, I really like mine. I have two of them. They handle my 2TB and 3TB drives fine (as JBOD), and have run for over a year with zero issues. Initially, I did receive a defective one, but Sans Digital was surprisingly good to deal with, and shipped me a working one that has run great since. I think there is a lot of value in these drives at this price, but I would hold out for a sale that doesn't involve a rebate.
This 4 bay raid has 3 bays? really? and $70 - $30 rebate = $70? really? you are terrible at your keyboard monkey job.
