      Great camera! I have the older model that only does 1080i and I paid $600 for it. Sadly, though - this is a very standard deal as you can find this camera for the same price on Amazon.com.

      Good low light performance. Electronic image stabilization is a fail tho. Might as well spend a little more and get the Canon with optical IS.

      is this any good as a HD cam. i just want something pocket size where it easy to carry

      Its a damn nice camera. Has one of the fastest lenses out there (f1.8 at wide angle and f2.5 at full telephoto). Many expensive digital cameras start at f2.8 and go to f5.6 at telephoto so the Sanyo kicks their a$$. Translation? Better performance indoors including whipping the $500+ Sony.

      Many unique features, docking station/charger, slow motion, stereo recording, shoot photos while recording video without disruption, 7 shot high speed shooting. The only thing this camera lacks is optical image stabilization, and many software editors can help correct that these days.
