The rebate needs to be $25-30 to get it right. Hold out...
Over the next 2-3 weeks thing are looking to heat-up, on these ATI 3000 Series cards. Although, it depends on when ATI AIB's can deliver more models of 4670's and 4830's in the E-tailers fast. If not they're going to miss the season.

Sapphire has always skimped on their cooling for their cards. I used to have an old Sapphire 9600xt.. It ran fine for a while but you have to keep cleaning that exposed fan out.

How does it compare with an 8800 GT?

Have a read on this recent review.
    http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Sapphire/HD_4650_OC/
I don't always regard what the W1zzard says verbatim, but overall I'd say the numbers for the 3870 vs. the 9800GT are about right. (I see the 4830/4850 suspiciously low for some titles and settings though)
You'll see that it depends on the game, the resolution and settings. You should really delve into what you play and how, now and in the future. That said, the price verses what 9800GT (hard to find 8800GT anymore) while going for this has its' merits.
However, as always I'd like a better price. Cool

If you don't like the cooling on this GPU, get the Xigmatek Battleaxe GPU cooler for around $3 on microcenter.com. It's a very good performing GPU cooler, with dual 92mm fans.

Xigmatek Battleaxe aren't worth fiddling with… only 2 of the 4 heat pipes contact the GPU on chips 65nm and smaller like this.

What to do with this is just pull the stock cooler and remount with Arctic Silver. You can find better thermal pad material for the memory, but that takes some work to source the right thickness, while only minimal improvement.

but, even with just 2 heatpipes touching, this cooler does outperform all of the other tested 3rd party GPU coolers. So, it is a great price for a very well performing GPU cooler.

Ahh... then there's the result from the reveiw page 6.
Got a review that has it working with the newer 65Nm chips? I went looking for "other tested" but I'm not seeing any others of value.
And as for that price of $3, you need to add a another 3 = $33

Get the real thing ARCTIC COOLING Accelero S2 $20 +8 for fans...

Oops, didn't see that rebate... I apologize.
And these are great for Nvidias' with a heat spreader, or older larger chips. As long as it's not an SLI etc, this is prefect for a OC of a single card as long as you turn down the fan noise.
