Ends today. Newegg has the Sapphire 100292DDR3L Radeon HD 5450 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card for $32 - $15 rebate [Exp 1/15] + $0 shipping = $17 shipped. Features HDMI, D-SUB, and DVI ports, 80 stream processing units and a 650MHz core clock speed.
Got the XFX unit for 15 from BB. It turned out to be a pretty good card.
I got one of these for an old computer. Not bad for the price. Better than the XFX. WEI Scores on Dell Optiplex Win 7x64:
Sapphire 10029DDR3L: 4.6 Graphics, 6.1 Game
XFX One ON-XFX1-STD2: 4.2 Graphics, 6.0 Game
Asus Silent 512MD3LP: 4.8 Graphics, 6.2 Game
#2 - While normally there's not a lot to really glean from a WEI it's nice to see the comparisons. The XFX is the 32-Bit model, while the other two are working from 64-bit.
Not sure if it's factual but the Effective memory clocks list by Egg shows the XFX at 800Mhz, while this Sapphire is at 1600Mhz. If that's the case the XFX is really down on memory throughput, and even with card at this level it's noteworthy. Though I think that's actual "clock", which translates to 1600Mhz Effective, but 32-bit is a major cause to ostracize!
While I think the WEI might also underscore ASIC quality of the chips. Asus has probably got high(er) rated, Sapphire purchases more the "mean", while XFX get the low-end (why the don't really say they're 5450's upfront. Not that there’s a ton of “seat-of-pants” difference; but that and 32-bit explains… "you get what you pay for".
