Damn! Just picked up a Diamond 6670 for $10 more AR.
Hmmm... to crossfire or not to crossfire... that is the question.
Might as well have picked up a 6850 for $120 AR
Much better than tnat 4870 for 60 bucks a few days ago.
@Goldenboyfx
Passmark rates the 6670 at 1,227 and the 4870 at 1,740 so at least for that benchmark they are not even close and the 4870 rules. Here: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html
Also, Toms Hardware graphics card hierarchy chart shows the 4870 coming in 3 tiers above the 6670 in performance so, again, the 4870 whips the 6670 all over the map and is in a different league. Here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaminbaconraphics-card-review,3107-7.html
That said, both are nice cards for $60.
ontheweb - No argument the 4870 is a stronger card, though the big story is about power in that you can't come close.
6670- 10W idle /49W avg. / 57W peak
4870- 64W idle /142W avg. / 189Wpeak
If gaming is the primary concern, while have a good quality 500W PSU, and don't care that you won’t have Dx11 a 4870 is a great option. Now, want a card that's proficient at everything (good/moderate entry level gaming), but rather not worry about changing your OEM PSU that's rate +300W then you'd gravitate toward 6670.
I'd say this price on a 6670 DDR3 is not good, and honestly would rather pay $15 more for a DDR5 equipped card. Here NCIX-US has the XFX version for $75 –AR$25 (end 1/31) w/FS

The odd thing at Tom's they don't specify the DDR3 or DDR5? These with DDR5 where easily as good as the GTS250 512Mb and those were no slouch, and in their day did well on power.
GTS250 1Gb - 33W idle /105W avg. / 159Wpeak
