This thing may come with excellent user reviews, but it also comes with a 2 amp power supply. Do the numbers: 500ma per channel means 4 total high power devices. Don't forget this is a hub, so if you have 12 devices hooked up, you get 1/12th the speed: 480/12=40. Fine if you have 12 mice hooked up, but ....
I went with the Plugable 10 port for $3 less instead but I'm just using it for a bank of USB printers.
