Thanks for the invite. That's right, it only has a 2 amp power supply. So you can't have very many high draw devices.

The 2 amp limit is kind of a big deal. Many USB devices use more than the average of 166 milliamp this can deliver, even thumb drives. Chances of this limit keeping you from using all the ports at once should be mentioned in the description. One reviewer on Amazon even stated that using a larger power supply didn't help because the unit would shut down anyway if 2 amps total were exceeded.

i have this -- i think the power supply just powers the lights on the ports - because almost *anything* I plug into it - doesnt charge - and or doesnt power. So - its conventient - looks great - but - isnt a truly powered hub that can serve that many ports well.

Interesting. It would seem that included power supply must output > 5V else an internal current limit would result in < 5V being delivered to the ports under normal usage as there would have to be series elements both to sense and regulate the current. I have a similar 10-port generic unit that I haven't tried putting anything on that would stress the current capability, but if it won't deliver 500 mA/port, I'll damb well fix it so it can.

With this one, I suppose one could always cut the cord off and use it for storing small USB stuff, like the socket rails in a tool box.
