    Because it isn't 1200. For computer purists the 1080p, while standard for HD television, is sub-par for computer graphics. For HD television fans, they don't like the "black bars" when playing HD video on the 1920 x 1200 screens.

    1080p is cheaper to manufacture and therefore becoming more common as people multi-task these screens for monitor AND video usage.

    Save an additional 12.8% with Bing cashback. Go to BingDOTcom and type Tiger Direct in search box. Make sure you don't have any ad blockers active. You should see a sponsored ad by TD at top of page. Click on "Bing Cashback" link. You may have to refresh page a couple of times before ad shows with Cashback link.

    It's a matter of personal preference. My dual monitor setup consists of a 24" 1920x1200 monitor in the middle, and a 23" 1920x1080 monitor to the left of it.
