Walmart has the Schumacher SpeedCharge Battery Maintainer and Charger for $18 + $1 shipping = $19 shipped. Amazon also has it for the same price. Automatically switches to trickle charging when battery is fully charged. Compatible with 6 or 12-volt batteries.
I have one of these, it's a good one.
Decent price, also check harbor freight
harbor freight always have a 20% off coupon in the car mag. what is the best way to store a car for over a month? disconnect the battery so it won't drain the battery when u return.
Every man and his dog should always have something like this in their car.
the 6A one is only $5 more!
or buy one of those small $10 float chargers to maintain; or a 5 watt solar panel.
1.5A is useless for charging, it will take the entire weekend to charge a car battery with that.
Nothing wrong with a trickle charger.
As others mentioned, this will charge a battery but it is deceptive for them to call it a "speedcharge" when it is so slow.
I guess it won't jumpstart my car then, eh?
